On the other hand, bugger it. Who wants to follow the crowd anyway?

Posted Oct 13, 2009 by Hypatia I'm going to skip a costume this year. Afraid I'm not up to celebrating. So all of you wild and crazy guys will have to carry on without me.

Posted Oct 14, 2009 by Lentilla (Keeper of Non-Sequiturs) > Lentilla, when one wears a victorian back bustle skirt, you have to have an actual skirt under it, since the sides are not actually closed.
Yup, yup... the garment I'm thinking of is extremely Victorian, and goes all the way down to the ankles. By itself, it looks a bit like a very flouncy nightgown. But it sounds like you're out of time on that one... and there's so many options out there for a Victorian-looking cotton muslin thingie.
Did you see the bride and groom responsible for the steampunk wedding cake?

I love the mustaches on the bride and groom.

Lil, you've been approved for disability, right? Now you've got that long waiting period (24 months?) before Medicaid sets in. I don't know what Machiavellian fiend came up with this scenario, but I'll bet you they work for an insurance company.
I'm not sure if it's good news or bad news that they passed the Baucus-esque health care plan.
