The Australians may be growing up, but apparently the Americans still aren't ... according to a recent item on Pink News, NBC decided not to show Matthew Mitcham's interview after his win, nor did they go into much detail about his personal/family life - which was at odd with other gold medallists during the Olympics and especially so given that his win was so unexpected.

Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall is married, to a woman called Marie and has two sons and a daughter. I know that's no guarantee of heterosexuality, but it indicates that corroborative evidence is probably needed. That he attended Eton College doesn't count.
