Just had two letters to my perfectly correct address, but with someone else's name on.

Put them back in the post with 'not known at this address' on them. Is someone trying to steal my house/identity/money? Why hasn't life got an 'alert the moderators' button? wah

I had one in my mailbox a couple of years ago with a return address that was a state penitentiary. I felt a bit weird sending that one back, for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it was sent by a bloke to a woman. What if he was asking for forgiveness, or telling her that he was going to be executed next week or something similar. Secondly, what if he was about to get out of chokey and turned up on my doorstep a few weeks later, put two and two together and made five and decided that I was his girl's new fella? yikes

I get letters every few months intended for some Reverend. The unusual thing is that sometimes I also get phone calls for him too.

I get phone calls asking for me with my old (maiden) name. How the hell they get that sort of information I don't know, because we're on a completely different number now erm

Perhaps for the same reason as I've recently become 'Mrs' Mina. erm I had tax credit people contact me a few times asking if I was single. Yes. Are you married? DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT SINGLE MEANS? Should you be asking questions when you don't know what they mean? Moving on, we get, do you have a partner? No. Do you know any nice fellas. They said no that time. Do you have a boyfriend? Look, this is getting a bit personal now, none of your damn business. We have to ask everyone, you might not realise you have to make a joint claim. I'm sorry, but if, by chance, I should start dating, you'd be the last person I'd be wanting to tell! Then why are you a Mrs. I'm not, I'm a Miss, or sometimes a Ms. We've got your details as Mrs. Well that's your problem. I would never be so stupid as to call myself a Mrs, especially when using my MAIDEN name.

Good grief headhurts

*ring ring.... ring ring* "Hello, tax credit office" "Oh, hello, this is Mina. I went out with a fella last night. He took me to see a film, then we went for a drink and we made a date to see each other again so I'm calling to let you know that I have a boyfriend and he's dreamy and dishy and has Ford Cortina. Y'know, I think I could really fall for this one. He's a brickie and he makes great money and you should see his arm muscles!!! Ooh, they're lovely! And he wears Ben Shermans and Levi's Sta-Prest and a Crombie and he smokes No.6. He's sooooo grown up."

Had another letter for this bloke, the Post Office said to ring the sorting office, but gave me the wrong number and suggested I tell the police too.
