I thought the Cihuateteo went to heaven, along with warriors and the pochteca (long distance Traders), as they died "in battle." Thus were exculted, infact their graves had to be guarded because their fingers were believed to bring good luck, which would result in people digging up their bodies if they buried.
Never have I heard they became Vampires.
