Earlier this month, the queen and prince philip visited sheffield . they went to fir vale school which used to be a failing school but was transformed with new buildings, new name etc. some parents of pupils at the school he asked if they had been there in the 'bad old days' the women said that they had and then looked baffled. the duke then said 'so thats why you cant read or write then'. smiley
