Not many people are aware of this, but there is an alternative organisation to the Royal Mail that is allowed to offer mailboxes in the UK.
They're called British Monomarks. It's a smallish operation that was established in 1925 by an arrangement with the GPO.
Instead of PO Boxes, they offer BM Boxes, and you have the option to name them.
