You mentioned that only the cheetah was a faster animal than the greyhound.
The cheetah is almost certainly the only land predator that is faster than the greyhound, but the North American Pronghorn Antelope is a faster animal than the greyhound.
And, just because I think it would be cool, I would like to see a greyhound race an ostrich. You have to wonder, "How would that turn out?"
