Why do you drive on parkways and park on driveways?

Many people drive on the right side of the road. Does this mean the Brits and Aussies and others drive on the wrong side of the road?

We drive on parkways and park on driveways because we can, and it confuses everyone so is therefore a good thing to do. smiley

Brits don't drive on the wrong side of the road, everyone else does! winkeye
