Ridiculous fact:
the good people of Indiana, USA at some point decided that pi=3.14159......... ad infinitum was too awkward and so for a brief period in the state of Indiana, pi was legally declared equal to 4!
I felt that this was interesting and faintly funny, although probably less so for anyone in Indiana at the time when they broke math(s).
