That can only be the fault of the prof, DFly. It sounds like a fascinating subject.

Though I dozed through most of my Art History class. (though that might have more to do with the darkness during the slide shows and the beer)

Herrrmmm.... or maybe part of the fault lies in her choices in reading material... erm

ANYWAY!!! I'm excited because I entered a short story in a little local writing contest. I feel pretty good about my chances. And they sent me an email thanking me for my submission and telling me that they'll let me know about their decision either way.

That was VERY nice of them. I'm impressed.

Whatever happens, I'll be happy... because I think the story might lead to a bigger project that I could very well write for younger readers, and that's a fine adventure!!! biggrin

I have next weekend off. YAY!!! smiley

And then I work the next weekend, and on the Monday that follows, guess who's coming to dinner!??? loveblush

Well... I'm in a bit of a poopy mood.... although several five point papers make up my Art class, well, I've received four out of five points on the last three papers. I don't like that!!!

There aren't any half points, apparently, so you can only get 100%, or 80%, or 60%, etc.

I'm going to take a good luck at where my grade is just now, and I am going to ask if there is more work I can do to improve it. I think my papers are a bit better than 80%. Maybe just 85%, but that's still a big improvement over a minimal B.

When you get your semester grades, will there be any differentiation between an 80 and an 85 as far as your overall GPA is concerned?

I turned my back on grades in 1979,
when I finished my second master's degree.
I haven't missed being graded since then.

I feel sorry for Harry Potter, as he is still
having to be graded. Worse, a lot of the teachers
he has are witches. yikes

Did they have cutting-edge broomsticks
to ride, or old brooms that had been used
for yuk sweeping the floor?
