Posted Jan 27, 2003 by Zak T Duck Yeah, some dastardly fiend is holding Zak against his will, and has made no demands of any kind whatsoever.
I'll probably get him sent back to me in bits, mafia style

Posted Jan 27, 2003 by Zak T Duck What I don't understand is who is bitter, twisted and of sourse sad enough to even come up and carry out such a diabolically evil plan such as this?

Posted Apr 23, 2003 by Zak T Duck Yeah I'm ok. I just can't seem to relax or take it easy for some reason. Can't seem to place my finger on why.

It's been over a lifetime since I was here last!
OK, so the lifetime in question belongs to someone who's just barely 4 and a half, but still...
You came *this* close to getting a tech support call from me the other night Tom had me come by the ministry to see if I could figure out how to clean the print heads on a donated printer/copier/fax thingy (I ended up finding the manual online and downloading it ) and I was determined to get our printer driver onto the computer in his office so that the extra printer he was using there could be used with that instead of our Toshiba (the iBook's having hardware problems, which I suppose it's entitled to--it's a clamshell, and I'm pretty sure they stopped making that model a few years before we bought it...). There's a network set up at the ministry, so I figured I'd get the Toshiba hooked up to it and transfer the drivers. I knew I could do the hooking up part, but I took my address book and phone card with me just in case. Turns out the driver was available online, so easy-peasy
I think stuff from various dumb questions I've asked has actually stuck (though downloading was something I could handle 'way back when anyway...)

Posted Jan 18, 2008 by Zak T Duck 4 and a half?!? I feel so old.
Don't mind getting the tech support calls, it keeps me out of mischief. Then again, after the 12 day work week I've just finished, I guess I don't need much to keep me out of mischief.

Posted Jan 20, 2008 by Zak T Duck Yep, I was in work last weekend babysitting some people putting in new network cabling. It couldn't be done during normal office hours you see because of the "disruption". No matter, I've got next Friday and the following Monday off work for doing it
