 Posted May 2, 2008 by andygalph There is a myth that you can make a strong alcahol from marmite, is this true?. marmite is a yeast based product but is it active enough mixed with sugar to make alcahol?????

 Posted Jun 16, 2008 by brilliantakamos I believe that because marmite is made with yeast extract, it does not contain any active yeast. Bread yeast would be a better widely available improvised fermenting agent. Marmite flavored beer would definitely be interesting, though.
