The Wildhearts (again)
Posted Sep 23, 2002 by Hex669
The Wildhearts seem to be aiming to beat the record of "more comebacks since Status Quo" and this can only be seen as a good thing. As of July 2002, the Wildhearts are officially back together with a line up that spans their entire career: Ginger (vocals/guitar), CJ (vocals/guitar), Danny (vocals/bass) and Stidi (vocals/drums). Their new release - Vanilla Radio - is a cracking song and in typical Wildhearts style, is a cheeky swipe at bland, uninspired, manufactured pop music that makes up the entire Uk singles charts (best line/chant - Where's my Elvis?).

At their peak, it was only a matter of time before the Wildhearts invaded the top of the charts permanently (each single released charted higher than the last) but this is not what they are about. Their mission is to make the best rock n roll music possible.

So there we have it then. The Wildhearts - about the most fun anyone can have by themselves.
