I am doing a report on Douglas Adams
Post: 1

Hi, I am new to this, and a fan of Douglas Adams' book, and recent movie, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Just recently, I have been assigned to do a report, more or less Junior Project, for my school. I chose to do it on Douglas Adams himself. Sadly, he is no longer with us, and I hadn't known that untill just a few moments ago. wah
And here I was ready to have some sort of chat with the great author himself.
Anyways, I would like to know if any one had any HUGE "must-know" information that I might be able to use in my report about Douglas Adams. I would greatly apreciate it. loveblush
I already have alot of information on him, but I am curious to know more about him. If you know anything at all, that would be wonderful!
Thanks a bunch.
I'm going to go make tea now.
tea

~Kitty ^_^

Maybe after I have finished my report I will type a copy up for everyone to see here. Although I am a writer myself, writing a person's biography/history is not really my strong point. erm
It always bores me, of course, in Douglas Adams' case, it is a different story. Every time I find new information about him I find myself delighted in a way. ^_^

Douglas is an amazingly hilarious writer, and has also inspired me to write a few, short story, science fictions of my own.
cheers
Cheers to you Douglas Adams!

To get all the great, funny information about DNA that you'll ever need, read the book The Salmon of Doubt. I would would recommend it to you even if you weren't doing a report, as it provides a hilarious insight into the life of Douglas Adams. Hope you do well on your report.smiley

Salmon of Doubt is my favorite all-time book. It not only inspires, but tickles. Plese read it for a sense of Douglas's personality. I actually have also listened to it on CD in the car - wonderful format.

I wonder if anyone would be brave enough to consider finishing Salmon of Doubt story.

Wow, finishing Salmon of Doubt. I never even thought of that. I'm not sure. Hmmmm... It might be cool to have all the h2g2 members collaborate. Then its more of a tribute than trying to take DNA's book. It could turn out to be a really good idea, im up for it.smiley
