Posted Feb 9, 2006 by Naomissy It's true. One of my first ever memories was of seeing a very bright rainbow against a very dark grey sky. I must have been 2 or 3 years old. I was told it was a rainbow, but remember being totally transfixed by the sight, and remember it even now. Even at that age I knew it was something very special.

Posted Mar 8, 2006 by purplejenny I think a nice part of the magic about is is how we perceive it, and that it has such a contrast of the bright colours against the grey wet sky. Did you ever notice that the sky under the rainbow is generally a lighter grey than the sky above it?
And did anyone ever find that pot of gold? I'm sure I got very close once...

Posted Aug 7, 2006 by Naomissy I remember seeing on the net, 4 or 5 years ago a picture of an upside down rainbow. It was fabulous. Created by the sun being reflected from the still waters of a Scottish Loch, hitting suitable rain and then someone took the photograph. I have since searched for this photograph several times but always failed to find it. I will have further searches because it was so unusual and impressive. If anyone else finds it....please let us know.

Posted Sep 1, 2006 by Goldylock this is the memory trick my father was taught at school (he was born in 1933):-
Run off you boys, girls in view
I was taught Richard of York gained battle in vain
(even though I didn't know who the `eck he was).
There's a website called Rainbow Mountain Chat (put these words in the search-engine and it should come top)- a lot of spiritual type topics, and if you type RAINBOW, each letter has a different colour. It looks lovely. (I'm `Goldilocks` there, by the way.)
