Well I hope this means your acess problems are over.
The hootoo access was bad for everyone for a while,just straightened out as far as I can tell on this end.

Yes, it was partly hootoo itself, and partly the fact that as our modem at home is not working, I have to come to Unitec where I am studying, and my department has horrible computer lab access hours! It'll be a while before it's properly sorted, but PTLA!

Here's what's odd. The Congress (or at least some people there, I suppose Congresspeople) have put forward a proposal to lift the travel ban of US citizens to Cuba. The reasoning is that is will ultimately hurt Castro since it will make the populace dependent on US money. The Republican majority has said it will fail and Bush has said it would be vetoed in any case, since the economic sanctions and bans will remain in effect. My question is, why is the now common practice of going there through Canada (here) not even regarded as an offence? The current monetary standard is the US dollar by all accounts, where as it was easier to use Canadian money there a short time ago. And don't even get me started on Guantanamo Bay and the legal status of prisoners there. 
Is it just me or does this all have the earmarks of an excellent farce for stage production?
