I was discussing Tobin Taxes with some friends at the weekend, and we pondered how odd it would be to have a tax named after you.

What would you like to be eponymous with you?

Me? I settled on an erogenous zone, as in the Grafenberg spot.

I meant my mind but my kind kinda works too.

The image in my mind was of Cher on a battleship straddling a 12 inch gun.

That famous Cher video straddling the gun barrels of the USS Missouri is so hot that it has its own wiki entry.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/If_I_Could_Turn_Back_Time#Music_video

And 20 years on it is still in such demand it is for sale only and not available on any of the U-toobs.

There is only a 'rehersal outakes' version which is less than satisfactory and lacks the definitive moment, the definitive costume.

I've heard a recording where she says the original video was to be of her rolling up on the dockside. That when the crew started filming, it was decided to give the am imprompto concert aboard ship. So all the previously filmed video was scrapped!

What a great decision! biggrin

I'd like a mathematical theorem named after me. Nothing of any practical use, but one for which generations of children need to learn the proof and be examined on it.

North's Lemma sounds good.

erm I'll pretend our surname is Johnson.

Sadly I don't have a lot of choice here, as "The Johnson Manoeuvre" or "Doing a Johnson" both refer to the same thing, ie reversing the car without looking properly and scrunching the rear bumper into something (frequently causing £500 worth of damage to your wife's car cross ).

If I could choose, though, I think I'd like to have a dance named after me.

Mol

Well as we can choose...
I love cooking and I´m a good chef who enjoys giving pleasure with food, so :I´d have a recipe named after me. One so special that the name of the recipe would be also used to refer to a state of mind. A feeling of satisfaction, lasting and intense.

Something like those recipes that appear in Como agua para chocolate:

love chef

Wow! Those Spanish flies are big as Cornish hens.
Feathers on 'em too.
So, the recipe goes: Wring their necks and then pluck 'em.
