| Posted Aug 13, 2003 by Abi Hi guys
Hopefully this has been resolved. Please note that we don't monitor ask h2g2 and similar pages for feedback, so if you want to bring something to our attention you should post it on the Community Soapbox (as Ben did) or one of the other Feedback pages. We will only respond to threads started on those pages.

Posted Aug 13, 2003 by §hadow Thanks Abi, You always were a dear. Sorry for creating such a stir and I've only just come back to H2G2. However, that's pretty much the story of my life, if it's strange or unusual, it's happened to me at some point or another.
A question if I may? What is going to be done about "Html Works" himself? Just blocking his plagiarisms and putting him on Pre-mod again isn't going to work. He was already on Pre-mod for his behavior against other H2G2 Netizens more than once from what I've seen. He also, if you read through his conversation with me, is completely unremorseful regarding what he's done and actually doesn't see anything wrong with it. Just curious, ~§hadow

Posted Aug 14, 2003 by Saturnine Dammit. I missed all the hoo-hah. I hate plaguarism with a passion (hence why no-one sees my writing online).
Well resolved though everyone. Here's to hoping the lack-of-researcher gets kicked off the site.

Thank you Shadow - it is nice to see you back. I am only sorry that you had to come back to this. While we cannot talk specifics re other Researchers' accounts, we are treating this very seriously.

Posted Aug 15, 2003 by §hadow Thanks for the welcome back Abi. I'm glad to hear that you're all treating this seriously, it undermines everything I've come to know that H2G2 stands for. This one individual, if you do some checking, you'll find is something of a troublemaker, has been for quite some time and completely unremorseful (except when it's to his advantage) about what he's done in the past or present.
No worries about talking specifics, though it wouldn't hurt to put out a notice of some sort detailing what happens to those who plagiarise in The Post as a form of deterent in the near future. I won't ramble on long, I know you've got a lot to do there.
Thanks again for the welcome back, I'm flattered that you remember me at all. My warmest regards to all the old crew there. Perhaps some good CAN come of all this. I'm contemplating writing an entry on Plagiarism. ~§hadow

Posted Sep 3, 2003 by Spacecadette Ye Gods! You actually remember me from the old days of H2G2? Was your name SpaceCadette back then like it is now?
I think so -- it's been that since about 4 months after I joined in Nov. 99. Somehow my previous left me feeling a little too exposed as it was also my old Hotmail sign-on.
The funny thing is, I can't remember many specifics, but I certainly remember thinking, "Yeah, that's right!" on a goodly number of your posts.
Now that the plagar-kitty is nullified, please write a nice entry on Plagarism, as it appears SOME people never got the memo, growing up!
