Along with latex gloves, a pocket mask for doing Rescue Breathing are the two most important things in a first aid kit. If a Doctors' number one rule is "Do no harm", then a first aid care givers' rule is "Don't create two victims".

the article is very useful and gives life-saving tips but if the kit is not available then also one must try his best to substitute

Non-latex gloves are better. Even if the first aider isn't allergic to latex, can you guarantee a random victim isn't?
