In a hotel on the west coast of Sri Lanka, February 2003, the evening entertainment one night was a live version of this very play.
It was uncanny as I'd recently heard Mark Kermode discussing it on radio FiveLive and there I was miles from home, trying to explain to my bemused hubby what it was and that it was so loved in Germany.
