left-handed knitters
Post: 1

When I was first learning to knit, my mother found it hard to teach me, as I'm left handed. You're supposed to be able to do everything backerds just fine, but I've had to create my own way of knitting. Same basic idea, I just hold the needles weird and have to rotate them if I do any stitch changing.

I'm a left handed knitter too ( although i havent done any for a few years) I had to teach myself, as all my family are right handed. It was a nightmare at school as they expected me to do it the right handed way. I've knitted alsorts in the past. I just had to modify the intructions on patterns to a left handed way. smiley
