Posted Jul 15, 2009 by Keith Miller: Australian, 'In Excelsis'. In week when too much sport is never enough, Ashes Cricket , good guys (us ) versus the bad guys(represented here by the English ) Why am I not surprised that no one on hootoo seems very interested in sport? It's a cultural thing maybe or more probably the types who scribble away here just aren't really sport types.
I read books while watching the cricket,: Now what other sport can you do that too and still know how Kafka ended his book and the last English wicket never fell (blantant timewasting to the side)?

Posted Jul 15, 2009 by Old Buffer G'day Keith, I have always found Kafka quite difficult, but trying to understand why the English batting line up is so ineffective is totally bewildering!

A pom always knows things are looking up when an Aussie starts beating them in the whinging department
Come on...10 overs to go, and you couldn't knock over Monty Panasar...

Posted Jul 18, 2009 by Keith Miller: Australian, 'In Excelsis'. Nice to see the Ed's having a laugh. Now where was I? Oh, that's right I'm at Lords (metaphorically speaking)and I'm crying into my late night coffee and choccy biscuits.
Who changed the script then? Last time I looked it went something like this: England plays Australia in anything and we kick their botties all round the field/court/pool/stadium/track ...not the other way round.
Don't you know your position, your place? Let me remind you that out in front and making it all look so easy is not your position.
Please desist and revert back to meek and obliging...
