Hi biggrin

Welcome ... space tea space cupcake space tea space cupcake

I hope you're not put off by the overwhelming presence of atheists on this site. There's a lot of very knowledgable, interesting people who have plenty to contribute. We need a better balance of people with sciences, arts, religion etc.

Contrary to what Clive said in the "Almighty God" thread, I do not "bite", and was brought up as a Christian in Bournemouth. I Praise God Almighty for His favours upon us, and ask Him to forgive us for our shortcomings ...

I totally agree with you on the matter of looking after the planet, and although I don't vote very often, I'm VERY keen on green politics. biggrin

I also share your concern for those people unfortunate enough to be "trapped" in a life of mental illness. It's a complicated situation, and both physical and mental health in this country are deteriorating somewhat in UK at the moment.

"No nation will change until the people change".
That is, I believe that we can't always blame politicians, but it's our own attitude and righteousness that will help us ...

Hope to see you around ...
Peace

Yes, I agree with you that, "No nation will change until the people change". The reason for this is that this society only has itself to blame for the state it's in: Obesity, financial problems, family breakdown etc and so on. People try to blame God or politics for the state of things, when we (as a society) only have ourselves to blame.
And the solution is this (as told us by the Lord himself):
2 Chronicles 7:14 "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land".
God Bless you too. cheerup
