 Posted Oct 28, 2003 by Bernadette Lynn, Home Educator A very good book on bird training - the title of which I'm afraid escapes me - stated that it takes on average 10,000 repetitions of a word before a bird will repeat it, and then diminishing numbers of repetitions for each subsequent word.
They also learn more easily from high-pitched voices, apparently.
