not all courses are of equal merit?
We *need* doctors. (Possibly more than we need lawyers?)
We need engineers more than we need media-studies graduates.
Okay, I know, I've opened a whole new 'kettle of worms' - but maybe (just maybe) the funding should be different for some varieties of courses?
