A solution to the funding crisis by a Year 13

I'm going to negotiate the UCAS/tuition fee maze this year. I believe that education is a right. If people want to pay for private schools that's their own business (I was privately educated for 3 years but am now back in the state sector.) but you shouldn't have to pay through the nose for a basic human right. Nor should those like myself who want to go further. I know this is terribly unPC but I think part of the problem is that vocational education has been devalued, and we have got to the point where you can get an MA in lift management, as everyone who wants a good job has to have a degree. I'm not saying that people can't go to uni if they're good enough, but if fewer people chose uni instead of vocational courses (to the extent where plumbers can earn more than graduates) there wouldn't be the need to find so much money for uni facilities, to burden those who come from poorer backgrounds with huge debts, and we might cut out some of the highest drop-out rates.
