It's best not to read it straight through, unless you have a background in linguistics BUT it's great to skim through. If you're just interested in looking at what "exotic tenses" would look like if based on English (and if they had developed naturally for English), you can just take a look at the last sections. I also discuss Douglas Adams' well-intended suggestions for modifiying English grammar for time-travel and why they don't fit what we know about language, especially English.
