I was. and am, a surviving member of the Iwo Jima campaign. I have been trying for a long time to find others. I was a part of the Army [Not Marines or Army Airforce] Garrison Force. I spent from late Febr 1945 to July 1945 as a part of the "Mop Up" operated by the Army Infantry. I am nearly 88 yrs. old sodon't imagine there are many around today that were a part of this campaign for & after. Iwo Jima was a "God forsaken' existance.
