 Posted Apr 14, 2006 by ender7390 It seems to me that the cat would not exist in both states, but in one or the other. Simply because we do not know which does not mean that it is both alive and dead. It seems like human observation determines whether it is alive or dead.
If a tree falls in the woods, and no one is around to hear it, does it make a noise? I think that, according to this, it both does and does not. It creates a wave funtion that never collapses.
But that's just the opinion of a high school student, no where near qualified to make any sort of judgement on quantum mechanics.
