Posted Oct 16, 2003 by Blackie Ok so in the first series he does actually get married but the poor princess is only a wee girl.I just wonder what would've happened if poor old Blackie had been lumbered with the Spanish Infanta or good old Bob. It might have made for some interesting episodes! Even Queen Bess tickled his fancy at one point, maybe she would've been able to tame our lovable Blackadder.

Posted Dec 1, 2003 by LadyFlasheart Technically speaking both Blackadders from series two and three would have had to marry to ensure there was an Edmund to carry on the family tree into the next series. Whoever these mystery women were she was evidently of little personality or looks because each Edmund looks exactly like his father.

Posted Mar 4, 2005 by gifugirl well the first Edmund definitely had an illegitimate son (see 'the whole damn dynasty'), though I find it hard to imagine anyone would have slept with that drip if they didn't have to!! Now the Edmund from BII on the other hand and he was a known womaniser. If he had an illegitimate son that could explain why the dynasty fell to being butlers.

Posted May 12, 2005 by jimbob_ii (hey, who turned off the lights?) I AGREE!!!!!!! I think all the Blackadder children must have been illegitimate - but as they all look exactly like the original (only with better hair) he must have some severely dominant alleles (anyone who doesn't understand, see: New Higher Biology by James Torrance, Unit 2: Genetics and Adaptation). Anyway, back to illegitimate children . . .

Posted Jun 21, 2006 by mrcleh i think that it would have added another twist to black adder. espically if it was som long lost son or brother.
