Researcher's plea to Towers (re layout)
Posted May 27, 2003 by Recumbentman
Now we are out of PR, is this where I come to wail? wah

I see you have put in the italics as needed, but why have you not removed the extraneous line-space after "Eating people is wrong"? It looks incomprehensible.

And if the 'Persistent theme' (Most, if not all, of the problems of philosophy arise from expecting one kind of language to behave as another kind.) is to remain plain then it looks too much like a quote (which it isn't) and I would beg instead the inclusion of something such as "Throughout his life Wittgenstein pointed out in different ways that most, [etc]"

No need to wail, Recumbentman, we're just as receptive to polite requests cheers , though the best place for this, as you've discovered, is Editorial Feedback.

The first was due to a rogue </BR> tag, now removed, while the other was simply due to where the <P> tags fell. I've made this one paragraph now.

Many thanks,

Jimster

I think Recumbentman's suggestion was for the sentence 'Most, if not all, of the problems of philosophy arise from expecting one kind of language to behave as another kind', which was originally in bold but couldn't be left as such to fit in with the Edited Guide style, to be changed to 'Throughout his life, Wittgenstein pointed out in different ways that most, if not all...'. smiley

PS, That rogue <BR/> wasn't added by the author or subeditor. winkeye
