Looking desperate may also help

When I got a flat 2 days ago, I also found it useful to look a bit helpless and desperate when asking to use the shopkeeper's phone. This prompted a kindly fellow to offer to change my spare for me (I'm sure my 3-year-old and 6 month old children helped encourage him to offer assistance.) I had never changed a flat before; but after helping this man change mine and reading the above post, I'm confident I could do it again myself. But I hope to have my children with me if it happens, just in case.

Now, I just wonder how someone's house key got stuck in my tire????
