I've come to the conclusion that every time I get to the computer, I get completely sidetracked, and that I'm never going to manage to write a journal of my holiday in Scotland, so briefly -
Good drive up, played on the beach.
Rain.
Played on the beach.
Rain.
Went to the lightghouse.
Sun.
Played on the beach.
Rain.
Played on the beach.
Sun.
Rain.
More rain.
Played on the beach.
Howling gale and heavy rain.
Hid in caravan.
Went on train to Mallaig, over viaduct seen in Harry Potter.
Rain.
Sun.
Etc...

It's not my fault - I kept getting sidetracked by other things... If Hootoo wasn't so interesting, I'd have got it done... but as I was trying to precis a diary that is something like 30 pages long, it was taking time. And I have to work out which bits I could leave in without being thumped by one person or another...
So I gave up.
Suffice to say that despite a couple of days of rain, and only 2 days of proper beach weather, we all had a great time, managed to get in the water a lot, swam with fishes, played on the beach, built dams, threw a Throwy-Ball-Rocket-Thingy, and played "Nudge the stubborn sheep off the road with the car" when they flatly refused to get out of the way.

Isn't there a saying along the lines that a picture paints a 1000 words? (summat like that anyways)
In that case you've written the equivalent of 66000 words with those pics.

scotland a beautiful place i've been going there
for the last tree years and everywhere i've been as been
great well worth the visit .
i've been to perthshire kintyre highlands isle of arran
and the isle of gigha i normaly go in september or october

I believe there are some voluntary groups that can help with rehabilitation afterwards...
