First Air Date?
Posted Feb 22, 2009 by davoudi
Surely someone at the BBC knows the first air date for HHGG. It is usually given as 1978, but that cannot be. I first heard it on the World Service in Bangkok, Thailand, prior to 1975. My certainty comes from the fact that I listed on a home-built short-wave radio and from the cassette recordings I made. I left Bangkok in May, 1975, and I gave away the short-wave radio before I left. My estimate is 1973-1974.

Help! Was I in a time warp? Can If HHGG was first aired in 1978 (which it wasn't) can I claim authorship and sue Douglas Adams!?
