That explains it!!!
I thought one of the guys was just exceptionally lucky - he always seemed to come down sick on days when there was some major sporting event on TV. I was always so jealous that he'd get sick on the first day of an ashes test, or for game 7 of the NBA finals.
He managed to use his entire quota of sick leave to watch sporting events, for the entire time I was with the company, without getting busted - 4 years worth and still counting.
