Posted Nov 27, 2002 by Zagreb - go and see "Moon", you won't regret it! I am so, so pleased that someone has done an entry on the great man. Perhaps now some of my friends will know who I'm talking about when I go on about Ivor Cutler. Shamefully, many of his fellow Scots don't seem to know who he is.
I have fond memories of the Prince Ivor LP

Posted Nov 28, 2002 by JBL I remember listening to Ivor Cutler on my portable trannie under the blankets at boarding school in the early 1960s - don't remember which year, though. He had a late night/book-at-bedtime type spot on Radio 4 (or was it still the Home Service in those days?). He was introduced as "Ivor Cutler of Y'hup, OMP" - Oblique Musical Philosopher.
And then he popped up on "Magical Mystery Tour".
I'm ashamed to say I haven't kept up with his oeuvre since then.
