Just been reading about a British novelty cheese called 'Stinking Bishop', from Somerset. This is a really smelly, ripe cow's cheese. It is called this after the pear cider (Stinking Bishop) that they wash the rind in.

Posted May 7, 2005 by BigAl - Keeper of the Glowing Pickle and Blue Banana, Patron Saint of Left Handers Let me know what you think if you ever try some. (Probably got to go to Somerset to get any). I tend not to like smelly cheeses to much.
