Mobile Phones

I would disagree on the mobile phone front.

True, some pay as you go services are expensive, but a good investement in a monthly rental phone can save money.

Many monthly tariffs give you "free" minutes, inclusinve to call any landline or any mobile. You can often carry unused minutes over. The only lines you pay for are tariffed lines, like 0800, 0845, 0870, 0906, etc...

I rarely pay more per month than my basic rental. I calculate I've saved a small fortune, plus there's nothing for giving you a boost as knowing you are on a tight budget, but still saying:

"Hold on, I'll call you back, its cheaper."
