They were allowed to buy fresh beignees from the street sellers on the way to school as part of their lumch box (like small doughnuts without the hole) These were swapped for fresh tortellini or home made Thai soup or crunchy salads or..... Twenty five years later my sons still have perfect teeth. I wonder if their contemporaries have
