The Salisbury
Post: 1
Posted May 14, 2003 by Number Six
I am pleased to report that the Salisbury has undergone a transformation - previously a rough and dodgy boozer where you risked going out on a Saturday night and coming back without your teeth, it has reinvented itself as not-exactly-a-gastropub.

Essentially, it's been sympathetically restored and started doing slightly upmarket food and selling imported Czech lager (good stuff - Zubr and Litovel) along with a bit of real ale. The shady clientele have been banished, and it's now an exceedingly pleasant place to go.

By the way, Franju reports that it featured in the film 'The Long Good Friday'.
