The Japanese art of putting a hunk of rice under a small piece of raw fish and thus making it five times more expensive. Legend has it that the dish was invented by a little known band of Japanese who fled Egypt along with the Israelites. On the run, they also had little time to prepare their meals, so they simply ate it raw with their unleavened bread. This account, however, has little to no supporting historical evidence and should not be taken seriously by anyone other than those thinking of donating money so we can investigate it.
Real connoisseurs enjoy their pricey rice-fish with soy sauce and wasabi -- a green horseradish paste which at first taste makes you want to end the pain by plunging a chopstick into your jugular. However, much like the early 80's band Duran Duran, it becomes strangely addictive with time.
