We found NemoBack in December last year, a photographic competition was organised by Voluntary Action North East Lincolnshire (VANEL). The theme of the competition was “Volunteering in Action” and all of the entrants were on display at the National Fishing Heritage Centre, Grimsby. The standard was very high with some excellent and inspiring photos depicting the diverse range of volunteering opportunities within North East Lincolnshire.

The photo I decided to enter into the competition was entitled “We Found Nemo” which I took during one of the Friends of the Freshney’s litter picks, to my delight it was judged as the runner up, netting me £50 which I spent on a tiny digital camera which I take everywhere I go, hopefully never missing another photographic opportunity again. I would like to thank VANEL for organising the event and congratulate Sue Balderson on her winning photo.
