The Draper Arts Council in Utah is one of the more interesting parts of that City. It is, other than the mayor and zoning department the most well known department of the government. If you ever want to become involved in any form of singing, dancing, or acting than this is the place for you.
How To Get Involved
The main key when auditioning, etc. is to be a guy. This fact alone will often guarantee yourself a part and ensure a long and fruitful career both in acting and with other Draperites. The reason for this is that most guys don't audition because they either are afraid to audition because of shyness, or know better. And so for this reason most male roles are done by a women, or they are done by a guy not from that city, state, country, etc.
If you are a women auditioning or a man with an incredible lack of talent, then you simply follow the same procedure you would when trying to meet a very famous actor by following the steps in this order:
1.Know the director, soundman, or stagehands.
2. If you don't know them find a friend who either knows them or knows someone who knows them,and so then.
3. If the first 2 steps don't work, simply give a donation of more than $3.50, costumes, or equipment and this will guarantee you a part no matter what.
How To Get Uninvolved
Actually, this happens to be harder than the first, because it takes more bravery and willpower than many marines or boxers will ever have. To get out all one has to do is either tell them face to face(they won't accept it over the phone), or be late or absent to several practices.
While many of you will assume the first one is harder it is actually the prefered choice. Being absent or late will incur the wrath of either Soni Barrus,Jackie Casdorph, or Lisa Casdorph. These are wonderful Women whom the auther loves dearly, but nonetheless the directers are much more strict and together than you would ever think.
And so when trying to escape your best bet is actually telling them face to face, however this will take more perseverence than many people when negotiating nuclear missile treaties, and this can often have more widespread side effects.The directors, cast, stagehands will try and convince you to stay along with many passersby and so one should always make sure you know what you are doing when getting in or out of a performance.
