It's a very unique yet often redundant feature of this planet [Earth]. It's quite often not too varied either. Since many people divide scenery into specific "biomes" like Desert biome and Marine biomes, scientists have practically ruined a chance for people to make up better names for it. But thanks to our general ignorance we manage to save ourselves from sayings things like "That's a WONDERFUL picture of a marine water biome!" and such. Now instead of being able to possibly create a beautiful world filled with outstanding art, music, literature(save for the Hitchhiker's Guide, it's still great), and theater; we have a world filled with automobile art, trash novels, wheezing music, and undeniably stupid movies about a waterboy or a dog that can play football.
