Which came first? h2g2 or everything2? It could be argued either way. Everything2 is, like the Hitchhiker's Guide, a reference to anything that the researchers/users have in mind. It has been around on the Internet for quite a while. h2g2, on the other hand, is based on a very funny book that was released somewhere around the sixties (wasn't it?), and was followed up over the next thirty years with too many sequels.
