Introduction | Reading | Talking | Contributing | Registering | Personal Space | Find Out More

h2g2 isn't just about reading and writing - users actually talk to one another, and quite often at that! The h2g2 Community is a bright and busy one, and as well as writing Guide Entries, h2g2's Researchers have created all sorts of wonderful personal diaries, pithy conversations, virtual worlds and collaborative masterpieces.

The h2g2 Community is friendly, fascinating and fun, and there are loads of places where you can meet people on the same wavelength - or, indeed, a completely different one.

There's a whole page dedicated to Talking about the Guide, but here are a few places where you can find people talking away:

  • Ask h2g2 is a place where you can ask any question you like and have a go at answering the questions of others, whereas How Do I...? is the place to for asking how to do something.

  • The Forum is more suitable if you're looking to have a serious debate, and Science Explained can answer those tricky questions about the way the world is.

  • The Games Room is exactly what it sounds like - a place for playing games with other h2g2 users.

  • Miscellaneous Chat is a page where you can simply chat with other users about anything you like.

  • The Feedback Forum offers you a chance to leave feedback about the site.

Though everyone can read h2g2's Conversations, you must register in order to post messages. We'll come to registration later on in the tour.
