You want to know more about it? You must have either been hit by a big snowball, or else you want to hit someone else with one. On the other hand, I suppose you could be just curious. Well, in any case, read on ...

What can it do?

The cannon can fire 40 ton snowballs (which it generates itself) and it also has a rapid-fire conventional-sized snowball hurler that can fire regular-sized snowballs at the rate of 2 per second. The whole machine retracts into the mountain when not in use and is covered by a snow mound. Deflectors were installed around the doughnut stand to ensure that no stray snowballs could do any harm. Also installed were aim limiters so that the cannon could not be aimed at the doughnut stand. One of the best features is that any snowball firing is done to the accompaniment of The Ride of the Valkyries.

The cannon can reach anywhere in H2G2.

Where is it ?

The snowball cannon is located on top of Mt. Sandcastle, just outside the Doughnut Stand.

Where did it come from?

Well, through some unusual circumstances, a UFO crashed near the Doughnut Stand and created a crater. The researchers Afgncaap5 and Garius Lupus and the robot Ampton built the snow cannon out of parts recovered from the UFO.

Who can use it?

Well, the only ones that can *fire* it are Afgncaap5, Garius Lupus and Ampton. It has a palm scanner that must be satisfied before it will activate.

However, the 3 operators take requests for delivery of 40 ton snowballs. If you have someone that you think should be hit with one, request a "hit" in the forum below. We will attach an appropriate note and send a snowball on its way to splat on their user page. Although getting your homepage hit by a 40 ton snowball is a bit shocking, it is relatively harmless. Makes a statement though. Note: individuals can be hit by the rapid-fire regular-sized snowballs, but this is much harder to arrange as they must be found in person in a forum (i.e. timing is critical).
