Demonstration against Relocation of Hollywood Park(permalink)

Posted by ParentAction on Wednesday, 2nd May 2007 Last updated Monday, 14th May 2007
On Thursday 26th April, we met outside the Town Hall at 5pm and made our presence felt. Wearing our t-shirts with pride, with banners, chanting and playing musical instruments it was a great 'carnival' atmosphere. We were well supported by car hoots as they passed.
On entering the public gallery we were able to ask a total of 14 questions, all directed at Cllr John Pantall, he was not able to give us a clear idea of where we are to be relocated to or what will happen to the building in the future.
We then staged a noisy demonstration of our feelings. When the meeting was adjourned for ten minutes we quietly left.
Thanks to all who took part.
It was reported by the Stockport Express.
Pictures to follow.
