England expects to be treated with the same respect as a nation as have Scotland and Wales. That means NATIONAL devolution with an national assembly/parliament with its own executive. This does not mean the end of the Union, but the Union must be one of equals, not with one member having to submit to unaccountable Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland MPs for internal matters in England when England MPs are barred from reciprocal influence. That is the antithesis of democracy and England MPs that accept this situation are, at best, not serving the interests of their constituents. Why do they not complain when their constituents receive far fewer benefits, such as free prescriptions, than those of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland? Why do they agree to this unfair division of British taxes? Why do they agree to their constituents being treated as second class citizens of the UK?
