Discrimination? - I ask you for your comments/help(permalink)

I recently spent time in hospital with a neurological problem,(as yet -like lots of people undiagnosed fully - although ME has been diagnosed so far) this had been ongoing for a while relapsing & remitting - but suddenly became much worse.

I needed to change direction with my career - although i was in management i was still required to carry out some physically demanding work in all weathers. - This exacerbated the condition.

I decided to make a career out of my passion and hobby and set up a small photographic studio (weddings, portraits etc.)

I was absolutey amazed - as a white, british, hetrosexual married man person with a disability - I am not entitled to any grants / financial support from anywhere - if i were a drug addict or criminal undergoing rehabilitation then that would have been fine - there is a definite gap here!! and positive discrimination

I thank business link etc for all of their help and assistance - there are opportunities for disabled people to return to employment, but nothing at all for anyone with a disability who wants to start a venture.

because my illness relapses and remits - i am not entitled to any benefits / Disability living allowance etc. even though with ME i suffer chronic fatigue and have a dreadful immune system

It infuriates me to see these "scroungers" who get away with it - claiming benefits for trivial problems
